IndiGo is a budget airline, based in Gurgaon, India and has its primary hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. It is India’s largest airline, both in terms of fleet size and passengers carried. The airline commenced operations in 2006. IndiGo is also Asia’s largest individual low-cost airline and serves domestic as well as international destinations.
IndiGoChecked Baggage Allowance:
The check-in baggage allowance for domestic destinations is 15kg per person (1 piece only), from 1st Oct 2020. For Double or Multi-Seats bookings, an extra 10 kg is allowed. The allowance for Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Malé, Phuket, and Singapore is 20kg/ 25 kg/ 30 kg – this depends upon the sector and is applicable on a per-person basis (2 pieces only). For flights from Jeddah to India, the allowance is 30 kg, including ZamZam water. For Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Dhaka, Doha, Dubai, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Kuwait, Muscat, Sharjah, Yangon, and Colombo, the allowance is 30kg. An allowance of 20kg/ 25 kg/ 30 kg is applicable as per the sector and is limited to 2 pieces, per person. The baggage dimensions should be within 158cm (62 inches) (Length + Width + Height).
IndiGo Cabin Baggage Allowance:
The cabin baggage allowance for both domestic and international flights is one handbag, weighing up to 7 kg.
IndiGo Infant Baggage Allowance:
The infant hand baggage allowance is also 1 piece of luggage, weighing up to 7 kg for both domestic and international flights. There is no check-in baggage allowance for infants.
IndiGoBaggage Allowance for International Connecting Flights
For IndiGo Domestic Sector flights connecting to the international sector or vice versa, the Baggage Allowance for the International sector will be applicable. For IndiGo Domestic Sector flights connecting to another airline to/from an international destination, the allowance is 15 Kg per passenger (One piece only). If the baggage weighs more, one needs to pay an additional charge of INR 500 per kg of additional weight. For carrying additional pieces of baggage, the charge is INR 1000 per piece. Furthermore, an additional charge of INR 500 will be levied, if the weight exceeds 15 kg. Excess Baggage charges are non-refundable for no-shows as well as gate-no-shows.
IndiGo Special Baggage Allowance
Special baggage includes sporting goods such as skiing equipment, golf bags, bicycles, and surfboards. Other special baggage items include LCD and LED TVs of size more than 99.06 cms (81.28 cm for ex-Riyadh flights) and large and/or odd-sized items, exceeding the permitted dimensions of 158 cm (L+W+H).IndiGo levies a special baggage fee of INR 1500 for domestic flights and INR 3000 for international flights for special checked-in baggage items. This fee is in addition to other applicable Excess Baggage Charges.

IndiGo online check-in is free from 48 hours to 60 minutes before the departure time of domestic flights. For international flights, the window is 24 hours to 75 minutes.
IndiGo Cancellation Policy
The cancellation charges depend upon the fare you have bought. These are Lite Fare, Regular Fare, Flexi Plus Fare, and Return Fare. The charges also vary for domestic and international flights. Similarly, the charges also depend upon when you cancel the ticket.
IndiGo Refund Policy
You may cancel your ticket online and claim a refund. A cancellation fee will be charged and the remaining amount will be refunded to you. Changes or cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance for domestic flights, and 4 hours in advance for international flights.
