Headquartered in New Delhi, Air India is India's oldest and one of the largest airlines. Its fleet consists of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, and the airline serves 102 domestic and international destinations. Air India has its hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, along with many focus cities throughout the country. The airline joined the Star Alliance in 2014. Soon after its privatization, Air India signed an interline pact with AirAsia India, a low-cost airline owned by Tata Group, for domestic flights. Air India also has codeshare agreements with numerous airlines, including Turkish Airlines, EgyptAir, and Ethiopian Airlines.

Air India Checked Baggage Allowance
The checked baggage allowance in Air India depends upon the class of travel.
- First Class (Domestic) – Up to 40 kg
- Business Class (Domestic) – Up to 35 kg
- Economy (Domestic) – up to 25 kg
For different international routes, there are different categories of baggage limits. There is also an infant baggage allowance of 10 kg across all classes of travel. Furthermore, the maximum weight for a single piece of baggage is 32 kg throughout the entire Air India network.

Air India Online Check-in
Check-in counters for Air India flights close at least 45 minutes before departure. Travelers in first/business class must check in two hours before departure, while passengers in economy class can check-in three hours before departure.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Air India offers refunds to passengers for partially utilized or unutilized tickets. However, the ticket must be submitted for a refund within a year of its expiry. Overall, tickets are valid for refund up to 15 months from the date of issue.
